She is Someone’s favorite yogini and an agent-of-change for environmental and community causes.

For a decade, Maggie O’Connor has been busy designing highly creative projects of social critique, with inspirational and educational content, applied to accessible pop culture media such as fashion, art, photography and community events. Maggie spent seven years studying art history, political science, women’s studies, fashion and business at the University of Toronto and Ryerson University.

Maggie’s strengths in research, problem solving and communications have initiated and now support important local projects. She is the founder of The Union, a community yoga arts centre and Cabbagetown2.0, a contributor to the area’s public space committee. Maggie is also currently the coordinator of an art exhibit at Yoga Festival Toronto 2009. She is a certified Downward Dog Ashtanga Yoga teacher and is currently enrolled in Canada’s only Ayurvedic Health Educator Certification Programme.

Maggie’s professional goals are to continually emphasize core values of awareness, empowerment and healing in social networking and organizational collaboration opportunities. At Someone, Maggie excitedly brings her intuitive creative experience, holistic perspective and sense of diplomacy to each individual strategy.
