invitation to designers

Someone invites you to contribute a design to our Spring 2013 edition of DRESSUP! With each edition we collaborate with creative professionals to create a wearable piece of letterpress art to help designers promote themselves and our local shop. This edition of DRESSUP celebrates Spring with a Bowtie! Three designs will be hand-printed by letterpress on beautiful 100% cotton Cranes Lettra 220 pound paper, and die cut in our studio. Fasteners will be attached, creating a very special hand-made spring accessory featuring your design work!

Guidelines:

- Choosing one of the templates attached as a guide, create a design. (The outline of the template should be preserved for die cutting purposes.)

- The front of the bowtie is a blank canvas with no bounds to your creative freedom. On the back, please include a greeting and your logo, if applicable. The backs will feature Someone’s logo, alongside yours, for cross-promotional purposes

- Please use two colours for the front, one for the back

Three designs will be selected and produced. You will receive 50 bowties for your own distribution and promotion – or to wear! The bow ties will also be available to guests of our shop at 1691 Dundas West during the Dundas West Fest (June 8th 2013) and worn by our team on that day, bringing your design and name into the community

Timeline:
